Below is how I label all files that are to be played back or used on a specific da. You don’t have to follow this exact format or arrangement, but this is what I have found works for me most of the time.

“DATE_CATAGORIZER_ITEM_VERSION”

“YYYY-MM-DD_Location_ItemTitle_Version-Status”

Below I will break down what each of these mean, and how to use them.

General Rules:

• File names contain various “elements”. Elements can be things such as the date, version, item name, project name, client, etc. These are represented in the example above as separate colored items.
• “Elements” in a file name, which are the colored elements in the template above, should be separated by Underscores (_).
